This second phase is meant to build muscle tissue. It can also be referred to as the catabolic phase because during this workout your body will go into a catabolic state, which means it will break down muscle tissue for fuel.
The workouts that are recommended for what is Panic Workout are based on periodization and intensity. You have to complete a specific amount of cardio for one minute, at least sixty seconds, then complete another one minute of cardio for two minutes. This workout can be done five times but you can adjust the intervals between exercises as you progress. This will ensure that you are not overtraining and burning yourself out.
The exercises that you perform during what is Panic Workout is based around compound exercises and a high degree of weight resistance. These are exercises such as squats, bench presses, dead lifts, military press, dips, lunges and cleans. The other style of interval training involved using an intense burst of cardio for sixty seconds followed by an equally intense set of cardio for thirty seconds and then another intense burst of cardio for thirty seconds. The workouts will last about fifteen minutes and will be broken up into five different sessions. Each session will require you to perform four exercises. The entire set will last about three and a half minutes but because of the maximum heart rate you are getting during each of the exercises you can expect to see results within a matter of a week.
